University departments may initiate capital construction projects under $2M with a Construction Decision Package (CDP). The process allows departments to identify project needs for building renovation, remodel, accessibility upgrades, etc., and submit them for consideration. A CDP form is available for submitting the proposed project.
Projects of this magnitude must be approved and prioritized by the University and submitted to the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) for approval via the Capital Development Plan and the Capital Improvement Plan processes. The processes are initiated and orchestrated by the department of Campus and Facilities Planning (CFP) in collaboration with FDC. Once initiated and approved to proceed, FDC facilitates and manages the project design and construction processes including seeking intermediate ABOR approvals at the appropriate milestones.
